Chameleon Bar applet inserts a separator bar in the page, which changes colour continuously. The applet inserts a separator bar in the page, which changes colour continuously. You can specify the initial colour and the speed of the change via parameters. The various parameters of the applet also allow you to specify a lower and upper bound for the colour values (so that they will always remain within a certain range) and to specify a seed for the random number generator. By giving the same seed (and start colour) to two or more bars, you can ensure that they remain synchronized. The two lower bars on this page are synchronized.

Windows 8 estimates: 500 million users in 2013

Microsoft expects to launch a new wave of optimism with Windows 8. In a recent statement, Steve Ballmer, chief executive at Microsoft, estimates that Windows 8 will reach a total of about 500 million users by the end of 2013.
